3 horizontal frames of 10 minutes exposure each at 15 degree incremental tilts, stitched vertically
Focal length: 70mm Aperture: f/4 ISO:100
Oh yesss... this is exactly the kind of butter-smooth klass that I'm looking for!
Originally, this was going to consist of 6 frames up into space... but thanks to the carried-over light pollution from the clouds rolling in from Syracuse 30km away, apparently that was not going to happen tonight. Still... I am very satisfied with how this panoramic stitch turned out.
To me, the composition mirrors a strong resemblance to the old square 120mm medium-format film Hasselblad images... which in a color and resolution context, is excellent!
So in the end, I didn't even bother with changing the color of the sky in editing here. Even though an orange sky may be "meh" in many circumstances, for once I really, really liked the simplicity of the initial vanilla color-scape... and I carried this over relatively "as-is" into the finalized image.
The big instruction from you)))) This shot reminds me desert but I think that it isn't desert. But anyhow - all beauty in simplicity. And of course it's an interesting color)))))))
Thanks a TON friend!

I hope that you'll enjoy my gallery... as I try to be diverse and do a bit of everything.
